Bespoke Learning Solutions

Many of the best educational institutions who use Open edX®, rely on OpenCraft to fill gaps in their own technical teams’ knowledge or availability. We serve as their technical consulting arm, helping them get the most out of the latest innovations and trends in online learning. These institutions value the direct personal relationships with competent and technically skilled collaborators that guarantee high quality, reliable work.

You can bet you’ll have the most accomplished technical team in the industry. All team members are senior developers with extensive experience in Python, Javascript, systems administration, and other technologies used by the Open edX® project. The team is completely decentralized, operating between North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Australia and Asia — allowing us to recruit the best talent, no matter where they are geographically located, and to serve you best, wherever your location is, or wherever your audience is!

Many of our clients tell us that it’s easier to work with us due to our developers’ higher level of skill and collaboration. This means superior customer service due to better communication and project coordination. We’re the serious choice, trusted by large and demanding institutions worldwide. We have more expertise and stronger credentials with a longer contribution history on critical parts of the Open edX® platform. This means you can say goodbye to the burden of hand-holding your technical team, and will have to go through way fewer iterations to build a project.

Our position in the Open edX® community means that we can advise you not only on how to solve your problems today, but on how to prepare for changes down the line. Our continued commitment to the platform means we are engaged in design decisions, version releases, and other key decisions.

Working with OpenCraft means having a say in how the Open edX® platform is developed and championed. We represent our clients in community working groups, tackling product design, marketing, development, and more. Our team sports more Core Contributors than any other organization in the community.

The OpenCraft handbook serves as the definitive guide to how we operate as a company. In line with our commitment to openness and transparency, most of it is publicly accessible. Our goal is to eventually only keep client-sensitive information in a private repository, while making the majority of our policies public.
